The greatest Canadian is terry fox. I like him because he raised money for the people that has cancer. He is also the greatest Canadian because he never gave up and he was determined and he saved as much people that has cancer as he could.
He ran all across canada to raise money for the children that has cancer all around canada. He started running cross country in 1980 for the cancer research. Terry Fox hoped to raise 1 dollar for each 24 million people in Canada. He began with a little fanfare in st. john in newfoundland. He ran day and night. He does to sleep and in the morning he wakes up and runs again.
He ran for 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339). And ultimately cost him his life. Sometimes Terry Fox would properly get tired from running all those kilometres but he kept on trying an never gave up he ran day and night, well until the night. But no matter what (how much he ran, what people said about him) he just kept on running and running.
